Three dedicated employees of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Social Work were among those inducted into the Carolina 20-Year Society on May 21.
Now leading an NIH-funded study with a research team from four universities and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Assistant Professor Bridgette Thom is working with young adult patients and survivors to co-create the financial literacy resources they need to prevent their medical debt and out-of-pocket expenses from upending their wellness and quality of life.
Associate Professor and L. Richardson Preyer Early Career Scholar Will Hall was honored by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill during the doctoral hooding ceremony on Saturday, May 11, at the Dean E. Smith Center. Hall was the 2024 recipient of The Graduate School’s Faculty Award for Excellence in Doctoral Mentoring.
