Our School serves as the central office for the Child Welfare Education Collaborative (CWEC), administered through the Family and Children’s Resource Program.
CWEC offers a traineeship for future child welfare workers who are enrolled in Bachelor of Social Work or Master of Social Work degree programs at 20 participating North Carolina universities. Graduates of this traineeship are waived from the 72-hour post-employment pre-service training requirement of county DSS agencies.
View the Child Welfare Education Collaborative website for information about training opportunities and a list of participating universities.
