UNC-Chapel Hill School of Social Work doctoral graduates differ from graduates of many other schools in two key areas: Their scholarship focuses on social practice and policy interventions, and they receive especially rigorous training in critical theorizing, measurement, design, and statistics.
If you are a colleague with questions about our doctoral candidates, including their areas of research and teaching and the preparation they have had while enrolled in our doctoral program, please contact Mimi Chapman, associate dean for doctoral education.
We also encourage you to examine our Graduate Viewbook as you are considering the best opportunities to expand the faculty of your school with the next generation of talented and innovative scholars.
