UNC School of Social Work’s doctoral program admits students only once each year, with new students beginning their course of study in the fall semester.
For admission in fall 2024, the application system opens early August 2023, and closes on Dec. 12, 2023.
To be considered for admission, your application packet must be complete (all items submitted) by the day that the application system closes. Incomplete application packets will not be reviewed by the admissions committee.
Nominations for UNC fellowships or other financial assistance from UNC-Chapel Hill will be made after qualified applicants are identified.
Our goal is to complete all admissions decisions by mid-March.
