The application portal is now open for 2025 admissions! Please review the application deadlines below and be sure to submit your application by 11:59 p.m. EST.

- 12-Month Advanced Standing MSW program (program beginning May 2025)
February 11, 2025
- 2-Year MSW program (program beginning in August 2025)
February 15, 2025
- Online MSW Program (Summer program beginning April 2025)
March 11, 2025
- 3-Year MSW program — Chapel Hill (program beginning in August 2025)
May 13, 2025
- Online MSW Program (Fall program beginning in August 2025)
We encourage you to apply early!
To be considered for the University Merit Assistantship or the Weiss Urban Livability Masters Fellowship through UNC Graduate School, the recommended submission date is December 10, 2024.
The SSW also has a priority application deadline for the 2-year Full-time Program of Jan. 14, 2025. If you apply by this date, you will receive an admissions decision by March 1.
