Job Summary
The Visiting Project Director will be responsible for overall administration of the grant activities for the Department of Justice Office of Violence Against Women Grants to Reduce Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking on Campus Program titled: “Community Solutions to Ending Sexual Misconduct: Coordinating Response and Prevention Efforts”. The position will assist the Women’s Resources Center staff in generating new approaches to stalking prevention and response services including the design of the first Illinois Stalking Prevention & Response Summit. The position will convene the Coordinate Community Response Team (CCRT) and lead tracking and reporting on the progress of the grant to the Office on Violence Against Women.

Duties & Responsibilities

Grant Coordination

Create grant reporting protocols to keep records, collect data, track, and report on deliverable progress, products and materials, and statutory requirements, according to funder specifications
Attend regular technical assistance trainings, webinars, conferences and calls, as required by the funder and grant project.This includes coordinating attendance for various campus partners (e.g. law enforcement, conduct, victim services) at technical assistance trainings.
Complete semi-annual progress reports listing grant-related activities and progress toward completing grant requirements.As needed, apply for grant budget modifications, no-cost extensions, and/or additional grant applications.
Convene the Illinois Coordinated Community Response Team (CCRT) including planning quarterly meetings, setting the agenda in collaboration with grant leadership, take minutes, regularly communicate with members, and ensure the completion of the strategic plan.
Meet regularly with all the CCRT sub-committee chairs and attend sub-committee meetings as needed.
Assist with the assessment strategy of the Coordinated Community Response Team.
Campus Programming and Administration

Collaborate with campus and community partners to streamline referrals, create collaborative response protocols and corresponding materials, train campus investigators and law enforcement, and determine necessary areas for further training related to stalking, sexual assault, sexual exploitation, domestic and dating violence.
Cultivate and sustain collaborative relationships with a wide array of constituents (staff, faculty, students, community members, and community organizations) in order to accomplish division and grant goals.
Co-lead a student team to develop the first Illinois Stalking Prevention & Response Summit for campus practitioners and students.
Develop a stalking prevention digital campaign in collaboration with students and campus partners.
Assist the Women’s Resources Center with curriculum design and evaluation of prevention workshops for stalking and other interpersonal violence prevention initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience:
1 year professional experience working in student services or higher education.
Experience advising or supervising staff or students.
Demonstrated experience with evaluation of programs/services, data reporting, or reporting.
Demonstrated experience planning, implementing, and managing large-scale projects.
Demonstrated experience providing culturally relevant, student-centered services and programs to a diverse array of students.
Preferred Qualifications

Education:
Masters degree in higher education, college student personnel, counseling, gender & women’s studies or related field.
Experience:
One year experience working in the field of sexual and interpersonal violence prevention, education, policy, response or advocacy.
Demonstrated experience with the day-to-day operation of a grant funded program.
Strong knowledge of principles, research, and best practices as they relate to prevention in a college environment.
Specialty Factors

Training, Licenses or Certifications:
Required: Successful completion of a Sexual Assault or Domestic Violence Crisis or Intervention Training (40 hours minimum). This must be completed within six months after hire. The unit will cover the cost of the training.

Excellent verbal, writing, and listening skills with ability to clearly articulate thoughts and ideas.
Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative environment. Also excels at working independently.
Demonstrated ability to make independent judgments, apply discretion, maintain confidentiality, and consult when appropriate in complex and difficult situations that require highly individualized planning.
Broad knowledge of the dynamics of power, privilege, and oppression, and sexual and relationship violence.
Strong consensus/team building and group facilitation skills.
Organizational and planning skills to achieve progress on multiple, simultaneous projects.

Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 9/19/2022. Salary for this position is set at $48,000.
