Vaccine Communications Lead

Description of Work
The position will work cooperatively with NCDHHS leadership and COVID-Response workstreams to lead the state’s COVID-19 vaccine program public communications and will champion the Department’s core values: Belonging, Joy, People-Focused, Proactive Communication, Stewardship, Teamwork, and Transparency. This position will be fully integrated into the design, development and implementation of the COVID-19 response effort and vaccine program preparation and implementation, including managing and coordinating processes, consultants, stakeholders, contractors, and others. This position will work closely with the DHHS Secretary’s Office, the DHHS Historically Marginalized Populations Group, staff from other DHHS divisions, the NC Institute of Medicine’s Vaccine Advisory Group, and staff from national and state organizations.
