PURPOSE: Provide clinical counseling and therapy services at a small non-profit to children through older adults. Serve as a resource to the community in the areas of mental health, behavioral well-being, family life issues, clinical information, referrals, and outreach. The position may also include group work..

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide assessment and therapeutic counseling to children, adults, older adults, and families through office and virtual visits.

2. Develop and maintain client relationships and assists in developing clinical services.

3. Provide outreach functions in the community to meet the needs of clients.

4. Plan and provide groups and workshops for educational, therapeutic, and supportive care.

5. Respond to requests for information referrals; Makes appropriate referrals to community resources; Provide emergency interventions as needed.

6. Network with individuals and agencies to develop community contacts and to maintain database of community resources.

7. Collaborate with other staff to meet client needs and on specific tasks and projects.

8. Maintain accurate, timely and complete clinical and social work documentation of all services, interventions and client related activities.

9. Work with clients concerning fees.

MINIMUM RECRUITMENT STANDARDS

1. Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) is required.

2. Possess an active North Carolina license (LCSW/LCSWA or LPC/LPCA) is required.

3. Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults is required.

4. Demonstrated sound knowledge and the effective use of individual, family and group counseling techniques are required.

5. Experience with behavior management strategies and child-centered interventions is required.

6. Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills are required.

7. Demonstrated knowledge of and the ability to learn community resources and federal and state programs are required.

8. Demonstrated willingness to network in the professional community and the Jewish community in Wake County is required.

9. Demonstrated understanding of and respect for Jewish values and traditions is required.

10. Demonstrated honesty, integrity and adherence to principles of confidentiality are required.

11. Knowledge or experience with third-party billing a plus.

This position has flexible hours, and will be in a hybrid format until further notice.

COMPENSATION: salary range is $45,000-$60,000 and is commensurate with experience.

BENEFITS: Benefits are periodically reviewed by the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees and are subject to change

Effective on the 90-day employment anniversary you will be eligible for:

Enrollment in the JFRC health insurance plan. JFRC will pay 75% of the employee’s premium; employee is responsible for 25% on a pre-tax basis. Dependent coverage is also available but covered at 100% by the employee. Optional vision and dental insurance may be added; the employee must cover 100% of the cost of these additional plans.

Health Savings Account (HSA) $100.00 per month will be placed into your HSA account by the Federation to assist with medical deductibles and other costs associated with healthcare.

Short Term Disability Insurance paid by JFRC.

10 days of PTO, prorated for the first year. One day of PTO will be added in the second year and subsequent years. The maximum PTO will not exceed 20 days.

Additional Paid time off on Federal and Jewish holidays.

Up to $1,500 over a 12 month period available to be paid directly to approved vendors of professional development services.

Effective on the one-year employment anniversary:

Up to a 3% employer matched contribution to an IRA managed by JFRC
