Tammuz Family, an international surrogacy-services provider, is looking for a 3/4 Time Case Manager for its North American office (Tammuz Family N.A.) in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Primary duties include corresponding with, updating and keeping track of North America-based intended parents (IPs) who are on surrogacy journeys with Tammuz Family. These journeys start even before the IPs sign a formal agreement with Tammuz Family to help fulfill their dream of having a baby through surrogacy. A surrogacy journey—from preliminary research and consultations; to signing an agreement; to finding an egg donor; to creating embryos; to matching with a gestational carrier; to getting pregnant; to delivering successfully—can take on average 2 years +. The Case Manager must be patient, diligent, empathetic, diplomatic, organized and attentive to the many details involved with a surrogacy journey, a fair amount of which concerns confidential medical and legal information.
Additional duties for the Case Manager include following up on new-client leads and helping to maintain Tammuz Family N.A.’s Manager’s consultation calendar; and also helping to plan and execute various marketing and development initiatives for Tammuz Family N.A., including webinars and in-person conferences for prospective and in-progress IPs alike. The ideal candidate will have strong social-media skills and works well independently. Experience working within the realms of surrogacy, fertility and/or social work is also highly valued—as is, of course, personal experience as an IP. The position, which is based in Chapel Hill, can also be done mostly remotely; and it may involve some international travel and occasional non-regular work hours for when IPs are in process abroad. Salary commensurate with training and experience. Hiring range is $36K-$42K USD.
