Job Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide managerial support and leadership and supervision to the adult services unit. The supervisor in this position must assess all social work interventions within adult service programs to ensure that they comply with state laws and federal mandates. Supervisor is responsible for HR functions within the unit including annual performance evaluations. Position is responsible for quality assurance activities, managing adult service program audits, and a variety of annual reporting.

This position builds partnerships with community agencies, participates in court proceedings, acts as liaison with the office of the Clerk of Court and law enforcement, plans and facilitates the workflow of the unit, and participates in statewide committees, initiatives, and meetings as needed. The supervisor serves as the back-up for on-call staff and provides consultation to the unit’s social workers during and after business hours. The supervisor works with the Director, Deputy Director, and Program Manager in making long-range plans for the unit. The supervisor is a member of the agency management team and also responsible for bringing together the needs of the entire service unit for both annual and long-range planning and budgetary requests. Supervisor acts as a shelter manager, particularly to the special-needs population.

Employee must possess superior organizational skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and management skills. Must be able to perform duties independently. Previous supervisory experience preferred. After hours and weekend duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree from an accredited school of social work; BSW from an accredited school of social work and one year of directly related experience; Master’s degree in counseling from an accredited college/university in a human services field and one year of directly related experience; Four-year degree in a human services field from an accredited college/university and two years of directly related experience; Four-year degree from an accredited college/university and three years of directly related service. NC driver’s license desired.

Salary
$65,462; Salary Grade 67
