Position Summary
The UNC Horizons Program is a regional perinatal substance use treatment program of the Department of OB/GYN at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The Horizons Program at Wake County offers co-located services for pregnant and parenting individual residing in Wake Co, and surrounding counties, including individuals transitioning from North Carolina Correctional Institute for Women (NCCIW) and other correctional institutes in NC, including county detention centers. This program provides comprehensive, gender-specific outpatient and residential (if/when applicable) treatment for pregnant and parenting people and their children.

The primary requirements of this position is two-fold: 50% data collecting/community outreach and 50% clinical services. Data collection will include phone surveys and assisting with qualitative interviews. This position is to provide clinical outreach with community stakeholders, identify community needs through needs assessments, assist with post-release efforts for pregnant and postpartum people transitioning out of correctional settings. Conduct screenings and interviews, referrals, and community presentations. In addition, the individual will provide families resources and support in the traditional outpatient perinatal treatment program in Wake County, including providing clinical services for pregnant and postpartum individuals transitioning from NCCIW and other correctional settings. Additionally, this position may require clinical needs to be addressed outside of 8 am – 5 pm and on-call responsibilities at residential/supportive housing sites.
