Closing Date: April 21, 2024

Are you a licensed or provisionally licensed clinician interested in training and experience in sex therapy? Have you always wanted to work for a progressive, sex-positive organization? If so, Carolina Sexual Wellness Center would love to talk with you about opportunities within our organization! Sex therapy experience is welcome but not necessary – we provide training and ongoing supervision to all of our clinicians. We are also open to hearing from candidates who have not yet graduated/are not yet licensed and are looking at future employment.

About us:
Located in the Triangle area, CSWC is a sex-positive, nonprofit organization that affirms all sexual orientations, gender identities, relationship structures, and consensual and pleasurable modes of sexual expression as normal and potentially healthy. We believe pleasure-based sex positive sexuality should be the norm and that all people should be empowered to determine what healthy sexuality and sexual expression look like for them.

Diversity and inclusion are core values of CSWC. We believe that the organization is at their best when we are as diverse as the community we serve. We are committed to respecting and valuing people for who they are as individuals and to providing a positive, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all.

CSWC clinicians provide compassionate, affirming, and informed sex therapy services in a safe and supportive environment for a wide range of sex- and gender-related concerns in addition to co-occurring mental health issues. They work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds and are LGBTQ+ affirming, BDSM/kink aware, and poly friendly.

In addition to direct clinical work, our clinicians participate in individual and group supervision, including presenting case summaries and dialoguing with other clinicians, to foster learning and improve clinical outcomes.

About you:
You have (or soon will have) a Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling or other appropriate field, or Ph.D/PsyD in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or other appropriate field.
You are (or soon will be) licensed or provisionally licensed in North Carolina in one of the following disciplines: Marriage and Family Therapy, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, or Psychologist.
You have experience providing individual, partner, and/or family therapy and are comfortable conducting assessments, providing diagnosis, and developing treatment plans.
You are willing to work 25 hours or more a week. We will consider strong candidates who are looking for part-time work with a minimum of 12 hours per week required.

Other desired qualifications/skills:
Experience providing therapy to diverse clients in a culturally competent manner, with knowledge of issues related to race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, and other forms of diversity.
Familiarity with or interest in integration of gender and sexuality in provision of mental health therapy.
Firm believer in providing non-judgmental care to all of CSWC’s clients, especially the most marginalized like those who are transgender and gender expansive.
