The Counseling and Psychological Services Post-MSW Fellows will have graduated from an accredited Master of Social Work program.
Fellows are expected to have demonstrated an interest in working with people with marginalized identities, and in participating in a training program.
Clinical/therapy experience is preferred.
Duties of the position include providing Individual Therapy using a Brief Therapy model, Triage Services (walk-in, crisis intervention), and Referral Coordination Services (helping students connect with additional resources and off-campus providers). Opportunities to provide group therapy and outreach are likely.
This is a two-year, full-time position.
Fellows will receive clinical supervision in accordance with the requirements of the NC Social Work Certification and Licensure Board, as well as additional group supervision and the opportunity to attend didactic seminars. CAPS staff is dedicated to training and supervision, and there are 10-15 trainees from Psychology, Social Work and Pharmacy at various levels of training in our center.
