The SPAN Clinician (LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT) is responsible for program coordination and implementation of post-adoption services through the Supportive Post Adoption Network (SPAN) and Medicaid services (if applicable licensure/credentialing is valid). This is a full-time position with benefits.

Area of Responsibility

Provide informational and referral services regarding post adoption resources
Provide assessment and treatment as deemed appropriate for clients.
Provide clinical services if (applicable licensure/credentialing is valid)
Coordinate and/or facilitate parenting workshops and training events for adoptive families.
Coordinate and/or facilitate SPAN group services for adoptive parents and children
Identify, network, and /or provide services to therapeutic, mental health resources, Department of Social Services, private/ international adoption agencies and other community partners as deemed necessary and appropriate
Provide public relations, marketing outreach for SPAN-supportive post adoption network.
Ability to travel and provide in-home services
General

Adhere to Social Work Codes of Ethics or to the Code of Ethics appropriate to the applicable licensure/credentialing and comply with professional standards of the Child Welfare League
Display sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics
Perform other duties related to department or division goals and projects as needed
Qualifications

MSW degree or other Graduate Degree in Human Services
Minimum of 3-5 years of child welfare and/or mental health experience
Preference is Full licensure is preferred or at a minimum an associate licensure as a LCSW-A, LCMHC-A, LMFT-A or other recognized associate licensed professional.
Maintain a valid North Carolina driver’s license, adequate auto insurance, and have access to an operating vehicle to attend to CHS business
