Foster Care Social Worker III
Work involves all aspects of case management in the Family and Children’s Services unit for Foster Care children. The function of this position is to work with those families and their children, who are in the custody of DSS, to secure permanency for the children through reunification when possible, and other avenues when necessary. Basic activities will include all Case Management functions, home and community visits, participation in court hearings, working cooperatively with sister agencies, securing appropriate residential placements/treatment, and accurately completing required documentation/reports.
Basic Education/Experience requirements:
MSW; or
BSW and completion of the Child Welfare Collaborative; or
BSW and one year of directly related experience; or
MA/MS in a human services field and one year of directly related experience; or
BA/BS in a human services field and two years of directly related experience; or
BA/BS and three years of directly related experience
