Part-time Employment Opportunity
We are seeking a social work student to provide private-pay case management services for our son. He is 17 years old, completing 11th grade and has multiple diagnoses including autism (PDA) and an eating disorder (ARFID). We are involved in transition planning and need assistance with researching resources, making phone calls, joining meetings, and organizing and completing paperwork for issues such as:
– Therapeutic services (e.g. residential eating disorder treatment)
– Educational opportunities (after he graduates high school)
– Transitional IEP
– Summer / afterschool job training and employment (for young adults with special needs)
– Alliance Health Medicaid waiver (emergency waiver application)
– Medicaid application
– Social Security Disability application
– Group housing (after high school graduation)
– Special needs trust (e.g. corporate entities to serve as trustee)
– Guardianship process and application
– Insurance coverage (appeals for denial of coverage)
– Additional medical and support services
Hourly rate is approximately $25 per hour (depending on experience). We hold zoom meetings once per week and all work can be done remotely. Experience working with children with special needs and references required.
