Our practice is growing! We are looking for valuable, trained, coachable therapist to join our team. Our new office space will be ready in April/May. We are looking for one IC currently for 2 days in office and 2 days telehealth in our current office, but then will move to full time in person in April/May. We are also looking for another IC in May once we move. Clinical therapist will provide outpatient individual and family therapy as an Independent Contractor to patients at Insight Professional Counseling Services, PLLC located in Burlington NC. Full time positions are considered after 3 months of IC status. Clinical therapy services include treatment of children, adults, adolescents, couples and families. Treatment specialties may include: children, adults, couples, trauma, EMDR, family, etc. Employee status may be considered with benefits if can commit to seeing 25 clients weekly after 3 months of IC status.

Reports to: Owner and/or Clinical Director.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in counseling or social work; and
Active, unrestricted license (PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT or LCPC) in the State of NC (prefers to be fully licensed). Provisionals will be considered. A copy must be provided to Insight. Available to hold range of 20 patient sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and IC will seek own referrals and schedule own clients. We do offer referrals as a bonus however and are constantly full. Full time 25 clients per week.
Will need to be approved as an in-network provider under Insight group practice for at least two Insight active insurance panels once hired.

Other Qualification Preferences:

Preferred prior experience in a private practice setting or in mental health group setting while billing and understanding insurance requirements such as documentation, etc..
Preferred experience post-unrestricted licensure but If professional Licensed, must follow applicable laws and appropriate supervision.
Have at least one niche market for counseling services (i.e., children, teens, trauma, anxiety, grief, anger management, etc.) but our practice gets lots of referrals for children and teens.

Hours:

Work hours and schedule may vary depending on patient and schedule of office space at Insight. Hours will be discussed in interview. Therapist will advertise and establish clients and Insight cannot guarantee a minimum number of patients or sessions per week of referrals. Independent contractors must advertise, and seek referrals. However, it is expected that Therapist will be available to hold at range of 20 -22 patient sessions per week, provided it may take 3 months to get to that point. Patient sessions are held in the offices of Insight Professional Counseling Services or telehealth.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform on-site clinical counseling services to patients as scheduled by IC, and in accordance with company policies.
Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work is required.
Be properly licensed and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Insight.
Respond to patients’ requests for service or calls within 24 hours whether such requests are made in person by phone and voicemail. Respond to such requests by meeting, evaluating, and providing services to such patients. IC will schedule own appointments, but will utilize office space as deemed appropriate by parties.
Communicate with a patient’s treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary.
Timely complete written records for each patient including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time-to-time by Insight or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the patient within a timely fashion (by Friday of each week). Keep patient files accurate and up to date.
Charge and collect payments from patients for services provided consistent with the policy and rate for such services as established and agreed upon. Co pays collected by clinicians. We use therapy notes for EDI.
Conduct and regulate counseling services in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the good will and reputation of Insight. Be respectful of and cooperative and collaborative with co-workers.
Other duties which may by assigned by Insight.
