Full-Time Private Practice Therapist

This job listing has already closed.
Location: Durham
Position Type: Full-time
Closing Date: January 2, 2024

Markovits Counseling is seeking applicants for a full-time W-2 therapist position. We are a small, independently owned practice in Durham providing outpatient psychotherapy services.
We offer a 60/40 split on revenue. The 40% we take covers the following:
– Full-time staff dedicated to credentialing, billing, and insurance filing services
– Private furnished office (includes waiting area, kitchenette, and bathrooms)
– Simple IRA employer-matched retirement plan
– Health insurance coverage through BCBS PPO Gold Plan (employer pays half of premium)
– EHR management account
– Financial support (up to $400 per month) for clinical supervision or other professional development activities
– Professional and general liability coverage
– Marketing costs (Psychology Today account, Google ads, etc.)
– HIPAA-compliant email and virtual meeting platform
*** We cap our 40% take at $9500 per month, meaning that any clinician who earns above this amount in a single month retains 100% of revenue over $9500. Additionally, we do not take any percentage of staff’s wages for the initial three months, as a way to help clinicians cover their expenses while building their caseload.

We ask our staff to see a minimum average of 20 clients per week. We rely on marketing activities as well as our referral network to closely assist staff with finding clients that match their skills, preferences, and scheduling needs, but clinicians are ultimately responsible for securing and scheduling their own clients. Members of our clinical team have 24/7 access to the office and virtual platform. We are in-network with Aetna, Cigna and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Clinicians are welcome to take as many sliding-scale and pro bono clients as they wish.

Anyone interested in applying should contact Lara at Lara@MarkovitsCounseling.com.
Markovits Counseling values diversity and strongly encourages clinicians of color, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, clinicians with disabilities, and foreign-born residents to apply.
