Counselor, EAP
Provide autonomous and independent direct clinical services, including comprehensive mental health assessment, coaching, short-term counseling, case management, and referral services. This is a Hybrid position. Three days in the office and two remote. Position required to work one (remote) evening per week.
Provide consultations to management regarding occupational mental health and productivity issues in the workplace. Assess and provide customized organizational responses for events that disrupt the emotional stability and functioning of employees or work units.
Provide specialized risk management interventions within the University and Health System. Confer and collaborate with EOHW about Fitness-for-Duty cases. Provide pain management strategies and psychosocial support for clients with a work injury or illness; provide extended assistance for clients recovering from substance abuse; provide consultation and guidance to management addressing suspected impairment, or employee behaviors of concern, including risk of harm to self or others.
Participate as a mental health professional with Duke’s Critical Incident Response Program, incorporating Psychological First Aid and crisis response models.
