Director of Clinical Performance Improvement

We are currently seeking a full-time Director of Clinical Performance Improvement. The Director is responsible for clinical oversite at SouthLight to include management and execution of all staff training requirements, evidence based practices, providing, coordinating, and scheduling trainings both internally and externally, ensuring clinical quality in collaboration with Quality Management and Operations teams, and will serve as a resource to SouthLight staff in their growth and development.

About SouthLight Healthcare

Founded in 1970, SouthLight Healthcare is one of the area’s largest and long-established nonprofit providers of substance use treatment and mental health services. With outpatient and community-based programs, SouthLight provides prevention, education and treatment services in the Triangle and beyond. SouthLight has multiple office locations throughout the Triangle area, serving more than 9,000 clients each year. Services include adult outpatient counseling, Intensive Outpatient Program, Psychiatric Services and Medication Management, Opioid Treatment Program, Court Deferral Program, Peer Support Services, Family Centered Treatment, Community Support Team and a residential treatment program for women and children and more.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Identify, track, maintain and monitor all training plans according to state service definitions, credentialing bodies, and accreditation requirements
Maintain Instructor certification in CPR and First Aid to provide ongoing required training for all SouthLight Staff
Serve as the Administrative designee for ACEP NBCC accreditation
Administer monitor and update Crisis Prevention and De-escalation training through SouthLight model, or other approved training
Oversee and monitor the SouthLight internship program (identify internship wants/ needs, follow-up with inquiries about the program, support onboarding and monitoring, provide supervision as needed)
Provide intermittent training to support organization needs as determined through needs assessment
Oversee clinical quality for the organization, working in collaboration with Quality Management, Operations, and Program Teams
Provide ongoing support to staff identified to be struggling with clinical documentation, evidence-based practices and balancing workloads

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, or another related field and minimum of 3 years of clinical experience

Licensure/Certifications:
LCSW/LPA/LCMHC required; LCAS, CCS-I preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Strong writing skills and experience writing proposals and reports
Effective verbal communication skills e.g., through teaching and presenting
Planning and organizing e.g., plan, administer, and analyze community assessments
People skills including influencing and leading, delegation, teamwork, communication skills
Flexibility and adaptability – managing multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast paced work environment.
Ability to work effectively with a diverse staff, clients, and community members in a culturally competent manner
Makes and communicates well-informed and timely decisions.
Computer skills to include proficiency in word, excel, and electronic health record
Knowledge of NC Service definitions and clinical documentation requirements

Benefits:
Full-time employees are eligible for medical benefits the first of the month 30 days after hire date. Options for a standard plan and an HSA plan with a $300 initial contribution and up to a $25 per paycheck match. 10 paid holidays and PTO hours which accrue at a rate of 10 hours per month. After 6 months employees are eligible to enroll in our 401(k) plan which has a 4% match. Company paid life insurance, short and long term disability, in house and paid training opportunities, and additional pay for working holidays.
