Clinical Social Worker – Southern Virginia Mental Health Institute, a 72-bed Joint Commission accredited State Mental Health Facility located in nearby Danville, Virginia. We are seeking an energetic, clinically skilled, organized individual to facilitate psychosocial and recovery planning for psychiatric patients in an inpatient setting. This position will: serve as a clinical social worker providing social work services to assigned patients as needed; serve as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team; complete comprehensive assessments; assist in writing treatment plans; provide group and individual therapy; identify patient needs for community living, complete entitlement applications, and coordinate discharge plans.
