The Orange County Department of Social Services has an opening for a part-time Community Social Services Technician. This is a 20-hour a week, grant funded, time-limited benefited position.
This position is responsible for providing assistance and intervention to individuals, children and families. Work involves providing transportation and job coaching to teenagers and young adults who are clients with Child Protective Services and the Second Family Foundation, and are participating in Social Services-related programming as determined by the social worker. This position communicates regularly and directly with Second Family Foundation staff. This position requires schedule flexibility as the hours adapt to program participants’ employment schedules which can vary.
Work is performed under the general supervision of a unit supervisor or program coordinator with some leeway to exercise independent judgment with regular guidance. Supervision is not a responsibility of this class. Does related work as required.
