The Communications & Development Manager will work with the Director of Operations to assist in the development and growth of Hope Renovations’s services and donor relationships. Position requires substantial problem-solving, decision-making, and discretion.
Responsibilities
• Work with Director of Operations to:
o Plan and run regular fundraising and community-building events (often held out of regular work hours)
o Develop and execute social media campaigns
o Manage annual communications plan to stakeholders, Hope Sustainers, major donors, and individual/corporate donors
o Fulfill Partner and Sustainer benefits and manage renewals
• Work with programmatic staff to produce and post regular social media updates
• Draft monthly newsletter
• Update and edit website as needed, including blog/news posts
• Build community relationships on behalf of Hope Renovations
• Produce videos, graphics, and photos for use in social media
• Assist relevant staff people with all fundraising efforts
• Cultivate donor relationships and communicate professionally with all stakeholders
• Compose, print, and mail fundraising-related documents
• Manage grant applications and reporting, and assist with grant writing
• Triage and respond to business related emails and voicemails
Qualifications
• 3+ years’ relevant experience in the professional or public sector
• 2+ years’ experience in a marketing, fundraising, or communications role
• Experience with and interest in event planning and marketing
• Success in roles requiring execution of multiple tasks while responding to multiple priorities
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide array of people
• Experience producing social media content
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Passionate about Hope Renovations’ mission and impact
• Skilled at writing for both professional purposes and for marketing
• Proven ability to manage complicated projects with deadlines
• Familiarity with marketing design, media production, Canva, Wix, and Salesforce
Starting Salary: $45,000/year
Position status: Full-time hourly with health benefits, 401k, generous holiday & time off
