The Commitment and Treatment Program, located at the Federal Correctional Institution, Butner, is currently recruiting for Clinical Social Worker. The Commitment and Treatment Program houses civilly certified, post-sentence persons and civilly committed sex offenders for the purposes of confinement and treatment within a Federal Bureau of Prisons’ facility.
The Federal Correctional Institution, Butner, is a medium-security institution that houses approximately 850 male inmates between the facility and satellite camp. The institution is located minutes away from “the Triangle,” consisting of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, North Carolina. “The Triangle” consistently ranks as one of the nation’s top areas given its favorable weather, affordability, vibrant job market, community health care, access to world-class universities, and close proximity to coastal beaches or mountains. Also, there are numerous smaller towns outside of the immediate metro-area that provide additional inexpensive, “small-town” living options but allow easy access to the “big-city” amenities found throughout “the Triangle.”
Qualifications:
Education – A Master’s degree in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education is required. Also, applicants must hold a current valid unrestricted license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or License Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in a State, Territory, Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
Age Requirement – At the time of appointment, applicants must not have reached their 37th birthday, unless they have previously served in a Federal civilian law enforcement position covered by Special Service retirement provisions, including early or mandatory retirement. In special situations, a waiver may be granted up to age 39 at locations where there is a shortage of applicants under 37.
Salary:
$68,915 – $89,585 per year
