Case Manager – Opioid Treatment Program – Full Time

We are currently seeking a full-time Case Manager for our Adult Outpatient Opioid Treatment Program program located on Garner Rd in Raleigh. Under the supervision of the OTP Director and Lead Counselor, the OTP Case Manager works to engage clients in services offered by the Opioid Treatment Program and other service lines at SouthLight Healthcare.

Working as an OTP Case Manager will provide the opportunity to work as a highly valued team member in a setting with licensed counselors, nursing staff, medical providers, and psych providers with combined decades of experience in substance use treatment. SouthLight provides a full array of behavioral health services, ensuring clients can get their needs met all under one roof and allowing for easier communication and increased interaction with other services (SAIOP, ACT, CST, BHO). Collaborating with multiple programs and providers will lead you to develop a well-rounded skill set as a substance use counselor.

About SouthLight Healthcare

Founded in 1970, SouthLight Healthcare is one of the area’s largest and long-established nonprofit providers of substance use treatment and mental health services. With outpatient and community-based programs, SouthLight provides prevention, education and treatment services in the Triangle and beyond. SouthLight has multiple office locations throughout the Triangle area, serving more than 9,000 clients each year. Services include adult outpatient counseling, Intensive Outpatient Program, Psychiatric Services and Medication Management, Opioid Treatment Program, Court Deferral Program, Peer Support Services, Family Centered Treatment, Community Support Team and a residential treatment program for women and children and more.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Engage clients internally and externally through community engagement
Remain flexible to the clients’ specific needs throughout their person/family-centered recovery process while supporting clients in meeting requirements of the OTP service definition
Efficiently refer clients to other service lines to best support their goals
Work with clients to engage in internal and external resources; supporting self-care, family, housing, employment, transportation, education as well as clinical treatment
Create person-centered treatment plans and comprehensive crisis plans specific to the unique goals/needs of client
Maintain weekly productivity to be set by Dept. Director of both direct and indirect billable services
Support clinical staff by completing internal and external data entry to maintain program compliance with required reporting
Fluent and knowledgeable about service definitions under OTP Program and apply information in order to submit content and clinically appropriate authorization justifications
Participate in regular supervision and required trainings as necessary for position/certifications
Support the program and agency in implementing and maintaining EHR data and processes

QUALIFICATIONS

Educational and Experience

One-year experience in working in an inpatient or outpatient setting with individuals possessing substance use and/or mental health diagnoses
Licensure/Certifications

QP
CADC preferred
Pending LCAS-A preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Ability to organize resources and establish priorities
Knowledge of the Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care approach to addiction treatment
Ability to keep timely and accurate documentation
Working knowledge of:
Windows Operating System
Microsoft Office Suite (Word & Excel)
Ability to work seamlessly with other service lines and community organizations to engage clients

Benefits:

Full-time employees are eligible for medical benefits the first of the month 30 days after hire date. Options for a standard plan and an HSA plan with a $300 initial contribution and up to a $25 per paycheck match. 10 paid holidays and PTO hours which accrue at a rate of 10 hours per month. After 6 months employees are eligible to enroll in our 401(k) plan which has a 4% match.
