The Arc of NC is seeking a seasoned professional to support the work of the Regional Director in overseeing and coordinating services for individuals with I/DD and their families throughout the Triangle and Sandhills Regions. Assistant Director will perform a wide range of duties pertaining to community-based supports, including Innovations Waiver services, care management, self-direction, advocacy and education and guardianship. Assistant Director will also assist in ensuring compliance with all federal and state rules and regulations, along with all policies and procedures of The Arc of NC, as well as the implementation of quality assurance and quality improvement measures and activities for the region. Assistant Director will also provide oversight, support and guidance to supervisors and staff in the region as assigned by the Regional Director.
Candidate must have a four-year degree in a human service or related field and a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in non-profit and community-based I/DD service organization. Candidate must be a seasoned, motivated team player with excellent problem solving and communication skills, steeped in person-centered thinking and implementation. Candidate must be able to travel and be available for occasional evening/weekend work. Must also have thorough knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations governing services for people with developmental and other disabilities.
