Ashton Williams is a passionate community impact leader and educator. She has worked successfully with diverse stakeholders to manage projects and deliver trainings to improve child welfare practice and outcomes for children and families. She is an avid champion of collaboration across systems to improve partnerships with families and within organizations to strengthen communities. For over a decade, Williams has led the development and facilitation of classroom and online curriculum for child welfare professionals that promote evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practices. Her track record of effectiveness and impact as a curriculum developer, instructor, and systemic practitioner in the field of child welfare earned her a promotion to clinical assistant professor in 2017. She continues her active community engagement across systems and disciplines to provide quality training and support directly to those serving families and children in North Carolina and beyond.
