Six staff members at UNC School of Social Work were honored with Staff Impact Awards for 2022. Dean Ramona Denby-Brinson presented the awards on Jan. 20 during a meeting of the School’s staff and faculty.
“It’s so important to consider the impact of people’s contributions on our School and within our community,” praised Denby-Brinson.
The recipients and their awards are listed below:
Jameceia Holliday, “Above and Beyond”
Holliday is a training and events planner with Behavioral Health Springboard. She was recognized as a staff member who goes beyond the call of duty to get the job done.
Iris Cheng, “Backbone”
Cheng is the business services coordinator for the Family and Children’s Resource Program. She was recognized as a staff member who is integral to school operations.
Erica Desiderio, “Behind the Scenes”
Desiderio is an administrative support staff member who works with the Peer Support Specialist Program. She was recognized for quietly getting the job done, while exhibiting reliability and grace.
Drew Lasater, “Esprit de Corps”
Lasater is a human resources specialist in the Business Office. She was recognized as a staff member who fosters morale and helps build a sense of community.
Thaddaeus Edwards, “Out of the Box”
Edwards is a technology support technician with Behavioral Health Springboard and was recognized as a staff member who thinks in an innovative way, especially when working on projects and big tasks.
Gwen Ricks, “Positivity”
Ricks is the business services coordinator for Behavioral Health Springboard. She was recognized as a staff member who is upbeat and exhibits a can-do attitude.
