Albritton selected for prestigious Harvard Management Training Program

Travis Albritton, the School of Social Work’s assistant dean of diversity, equity and inclusion, has been selected by the Harvard Graduate School of Education as a member of the Management Development Program (MDP) Class of 2021.

A flagship two-week training program within the Harvard Institutes for Higher Education, the MDP was created to provide higher education managers with the tools and insight to think more strategically, balance competing demands, and engage in more forward-thinking leadership.

In addition to his leadership role as an assistant dean, Albritton also serves as the director of the School’s 3-year Triangle MSW Program and as a clinical associate professor.

His participation in the prestigious Harvard program is part of a joint effort with the Council on Social Work Education’s Leadership Scholars in Social Work Education Program. The CSWE program is designed to attract a cohort of future leaders and provide them targeted education, training, and mentoring.

Albritton is expected to begin his training sometime next year. The program was delayed due to concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic.
Congratulations Dr. Albritton!
