The May workshop for the Clinical Lecture Institute has changed, and will focus on Stage 2 Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
“It is going to be a really significant event,” said Deborah Barrett, Ph.D., who coordinates the Clinical Lecture Series. “We’re flying in two really amazing clinicians and trainers from the West coast, who have created this event specifically for us. It’s an advanced workshop on how to work with individuals who suffer from both trauma and emotional sensitivity.”
In this two-day workshop, Amy Wagner and Kelly Koerner will teach the concepts and practical skills needed to conceptualize the problems of clients who have reduced high-risk intentional self-injury and other out-of-control behaviors, yet continue to struggle with significant emotion regulation difficulties and trauma-related problems.
This interactive workshop is appropriate for practitioners who are already knowledgeable and practicing DBT with clients. It will be held on Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16.
