The UNC School of Social Work is holding an open house, several information sessions, and four free GRE test prep workshops this fall for prospective master’s students.
The School of Social Work’s annual Open House will be held on Monday, September 19 from 5:30-8 p.m.
The Open House gives prospective applicants an opportunity to learn about the curriculum, field placements, financial aid, and admissions requirements of the UNC School of Social Work. The event will begin with registration and a light reception, followed by a program in the auditorium. A faculty panel will discuss curriculum options and professional development opportunities and Sharon Thomas, director of recruitment, admissions and financial aid, will share information on the admissions and financial aid process. Potential applicants will also have a chance to meet with current students during the reception prior to the evening’s program.
For more information or to register, contact Tiffany Carver.
Information Sessions – Summer and Fall 2011
MSW Program information sessions give potential applicants a chance to meet some of the faculty, staff and students and an opportunity to ask questions about the School of Social Work. The curriculum, field placements, financial aid, and admissions requirements are among the topics discussed. A faculty member will provide a brief presentation on their areas of practice/research interests and a student panel will answer additional questions from prospective applicants.
The sessions are held from 2-4:30 p.m. (with the exception of the evening sessions on Oct. 24 and Nov. 22) in Room 300 at the School of Social Work. Please contact Tiffany Carver to confirm the date and to register.
