Ann Elizabeth Vogel, MSW ’05, of Lincoln, Neb., died May 19, 2011 at age 32.
Vogel graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2000. After graduation she worked for the Appleseed Center for Law in the Public Interest for three years. She moved to North Carolina to enroll at the UNC School of Social Work. Upon receiving her master’s degree, Vogel moved to Washington, D.C., and worked for Families USA, a non-profit organization dedicated to health care reform.
In 2008, she relocated to Lacrosse, Wis., working for Citizen Action of Wisconsin, a community organization group dedicated to achieving social, economic, and environmental justice. In 2009, she returned to Lincoln and worked for the State of Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services until the time of her death.
She enjoyed hockey games, UNC basketball, and attending No Coast Derby Girls games. Obituary
