Rethinking Guardianship: Updates on Making Alternatives a Reality in NC

In this session, Linda Kendall Fields, M.Ed., will update participants on the state’s Rethinking Guardianship initiative and how people are avoiding unnecessary guardianships through supported decision-making strategies.

Focus on Family and Disability Seminar Series trainings are for students, professionals, and community members interested in therapeutic practices that are anti-oppressive, intersectional, and centered on self-determination. 

Free of charge for UNC School of Social Work students, faculty, staff, and field instructors. 1.5 CE for behavioral health clinicians including social workers, psychiatrists, and counselors.

Scholarships available upon request.
