The Chapel Hill Child Welfare Education Collaborative at the UNC School of Social Work held its year-end celebration on April 30 to honor the 12 students graduating from the program. Each student’s accomplishments were recognized and certificates were presented by Wanda Reives, assistant director of the North Carolina Child Welfare Education Collaborative. The students then surprised Reives by presenting her with a commemorative gift. Event photos
Students and faculty were treated to a delicious buffet luncheon catered by Reives’ mother Mrs. Edna Foushee, and tables beautifully decorated in Carolina blue.
Offering specialized instruction in public child welfare practice, the Collaborative grants financial support to MSW students who commit to working in a county department of social service upon graduation.
