Congratulations, Class of 2017!

UNC School of Social Work is proud to announce the graduation of 127 Master of Social Work students and seven doctoral students on Saturday, May 13, 2017.
Commencement weekend activities include receptions for our MSW and Ph.D. students on Friday evening, a brunch for our Distinguished Alumni Award recipients on Saturday morning and our graduation ceremony at Memorial Hall on Saturday afternoon.
Ronald L. Mangum, a member of our faculty since 1998, will present the commencement speech. He is a clinical assistant professor with our Behavioral Health Springboard program and leads training for North Carolina’s certified peer support specialist program.
Dean Gary L. Bowen and Alumni Council President Ashley Benefield will also speak during the ceremony. Seven alumni will be honored with the 2017 Distinguished Alumni Award.
