University honors McClinton

The University’s Board of Trustees recently voted to rename Aycock Residence Hall after Hortense McClinton, now 103, and UNC-Chapel Hill’s first African American faculty member and a long-time member of the School of Social Work’s faculty. The trustees also voted to rename the Student Affairs Office after Henry Owl, the first American Indian student.
