Community Leader/Executive Director - L'Arche North Carolina


L'Arche North Carolina seeks a mission-inspired and experienced leader to be our next Community Leader/Executive Director. This leader will help establish a vibrant spiritual community and direct support agency in the Triangle, which is part of a network of L'Arche communities in the USA and internationally. Ideal candidates will be aligned with L'Arche values and have familiarity with supports and services for adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities offered in North Carolina.

The mission of L'Arche is to make known the gifts of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, revealed through mutually transforming relationships. L'Arche North Carolina seeks to create a community of loving homes in the Triangle where people with and without intellectual disabilities share their unique gifts through the rhythms of daily life.

The Community Leader/Executive Director is responsible for ensuring L'Arche North Carolina lives the values of L'Arche in line with the Mission Statement. They will see that the needs of community members with intellectual/developmental disabilities are met and their gifts are illuminated in the community and wider environment. They will establish and lead the new community operationally, meeting the financial, legal, and quality standards required by the local, state, and federal authorities. The Community Leader will implement the objectives identified in the Founding Mandate in close cooperation with the local Board of Directors and the Federation of L'Arche regionally, nationally, and internationally.
