BILINGUAL CRISIS COUNSELOR/CASE MANAGER

Job Purpose

The purpose of this position is to provide delivery of coordinated, effective case management and crisis services for victims of domestic violence and sexual violence. In addition the position will include responding to lethality assessments conducted by first responders, supportive counseling, efiling, immigration assistance, provision of basic needs, and information and referral to individuals and families who have  experienced or are experiencing domestic or sexual violence in order to promote long-term self-sufficiency and healing. This position will serve all victims and survivors, but will focus on the needs of Spanish-speaking clients.

CHILDCARE COORDINATOR

Job Purpose

The Childcare Coordinator will provide advocacy, support and social instruction to children enrolled in InterAct’s services. This position will be responsible for supervising and actively engaging with children of various ages in recreational activities, arts and crafts, group games and creative play.

COMMUNITY AWARENESS COORDINATOR

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Director of Training, Engagement and Prevention, the Community Awareness Coordinator is responsible for working with community gatekeepers, providing outreach to underserved populations, and ensuring that the public is aware of the direct client services found at InterAct’s Family Safety and Empowerment Center.

COMMUNITY PROGRAM COORDINATOR & CLINICAL SUPERVISOR

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Director of Training, Engagement and Prevention, the Community Program Coordinator & Clinical Supervisor is a member of the Training, Engagement and Prevention Team, responsible for recruiting, developing and supporting a corps of volunteers that provide support services to clients, programs and the agency and is responsible for coordinating the Voices program.  The Community Program Coordinator & Clinical Supervisor will also serve as the clinical supervisor for all Masters in Social Work interns and undergraduate interns doing field placements at InterAct’s Family Safety and Empowerment Center.

COUNSELOR/CASE MANAGER

Job Purpose

The purpose of this position is to provide direct service(s) to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking at four outreach sites. Outreach sites include: Cary Police Department and Wake County Human Service’s Northern Regional Center, Southern Regional Center and Eastern Regional Center. The position of Counselor/Case Manager is part of the Personal and Economic Empowerment program which provides case management, advocacy and support services to adult victims and survivors of domestic violence and/or sexual assault.

COUNSELOR/CASE MANAGER

INTAKE SPECIALIST

Job Purpose

The Intake Specialist serves as the initial representative and point of contact for clients seeking services. The Intake Specialist will review the full spectrum of services available to the victim/survivor and will assist in identifying services as needed as well as help guide victims’ access to these services, addressing both their continuing and longer-term needs.

SHELTER POOL STAFF

Job Purpose

This position will focus on the needs of all residents (adults and children) in the shelter for battered women and children on an as needed basis. The services provided at the shelter include, but are not limited to, supportive counseling, goal planning, case management and advocacy. The hours for this position vary.
