Director for Family Justice Center – Durham Crisis Response Center


DCRC is seeking a Director for Family Justice Center under development.  The Center will bring together partners to assist victims of domestic and sexual violence at one site.

The Justice Center Director:

  • provides direct oversight of the Durham County Justice Center to ensure proper delivery of services to victims;
  • promotes Justice Center services in the community;
  • collaborates and partners with community members, organizations and service providers; develops the Justice Center to reflect changes in policy and community need;
  • serves as a liaison between DCRC and the criminal/civil justice system, including coordination of the Domestic Violence Response Team;
  • provides direct supervision and support of staff and volunteers; and
  • maintains a client caseload, as needed.

Required skills/experience:  Advanced degree in Social Work, Human Services or related field along with a minimum two years’ experience providing services to victims of domestic violence, sexual violence and/or other crimes and knowledge of legal advocacy, including supervisory experience. Strong collaboration and communication skills needed.  Experience working effectively with a diverse population and a commitment to anti-oppression models of service.
