First Social Worker-led Behavioral Health Workforce Research Center Launches Ambitious Second-year Agenda

One year after receiving a $4.5 million grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and Health Resources Services Administration to establish a new Behavioral Health Workforce Research Center (BHWRC), the UNC BHWRC is launching a new slate of initiatives to research and address behavioral health needs in the United States workforce.

Richard West Jr. visited with Clinical Assistant Professor April Parker’s “Cultural Sensitivity: Ways of Knowing, Being, Healing and Honoring Youth and Their Families” class on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 5:30 p.m. to share his life story, answer questions and discuss the importance of cultural humility.
