Raleigh-Cary Jewish Family Services, a non-profit serving clients in Wake County is seeking a part-time therapist.

The therapist, under the supervision of the Director of JFS, provides clinical counseling and therapy services to children through older adults, Additional components of the position include information, referral, and outreach. The position may also include group work. These functions are performed under general supervision, necessitating the ability to exercise independent and sound judgment. This position is temporarily remote due to COVID19 and when safety allows will return to in-person work.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or Counseling from an accredited School of Social Work and an active North Carolina license (LCSW/LCSWA or LPC/LPCA)

Experience working with children, adolescents and adults required

Sound knowledge and effective use of individual, family, and group counseling techniques; experience with behavior management strategies and child centered interventions.

Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

Knowledge of/ability to learn community resources, federal and state programs, and willingness to network in the professional community and the Jewish community in Wake County.

Understanding of and respect for Jewish values and traditions, or the desire and ability to develop the same.

Available to work on a flexible schedule.
