Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is now hiring a Supervisor Inpatient Social Worker to join our clinical services team. Wellfound is a 120 bed inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Tacoma, WA. We have received Joint Commission accreditation and are not-for-profit. We offer acute inpatient psychiatric care for adults. Our specific units include voluntary and involuntary status patients, and higher psychiatric acute care.

This position is responsible for the oversight of social work and discharge planning services provided to patients with severe and persistent mental health conditions receiving care on acute inpatient psychiatric hospital units. The incumbent in this position is expected to perform work at an advanced, specialized, and independent level.

Duties for this position will include:

Administrative-
•Oversight for social work, transition and discharge planning services consistent with regulatory (DOH, TJC, CMS) standards
•Participation in the development of specialized programming for the inpatient units.
•Develop and monitor outcomes-based measurements of care
•Budget tracking and revenue cycle monitoring and coordination with utilization management and business office
•Responsible for quality monitoring of performance metrics and performance improvement opportunities in accordance with facility quality assurance plans.
•Responsible for ensuring programming is survey ready
•Supervision of social work staff and care coordinators
•Provide clinical licensure supervision to WBHH staff

Clinical-
•Psychosocial assessment, diagnostic evaluations, and interpreting complex psychosocial factors
•Development of interdisciplinary treatment plans for patients receiving care
•Providing individual and group treatment modalities consistent with treatment curriculum, and patients individualized care plans.
•Documentation of patient progress in clinical record in accordance with WBHH policies, procedures and practice
•Provides emergency assessment of patients, refer to higher level of care when appropriate.
•Maintains confidentiality of department and employee information according to established procedures with no breaches and/or errors.
•Participates in team staffing. Makes team aware of pertinent information gleaned from interaction with patients and/or their families.

What We Require:

Education:
•Master’s in Social Work from an CSWE accredited institution

Certification/License:
•Washington State Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
•Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or Red Cross per RCW

Work Experience:
•One or more years’ experience in a psychiatric setting required
