Term-limited (2020-2021 Academic Year) Staff Counselor or Psychologist at the Wake Forest University Counseling Center. Primarily focused on providing short-term counseling/therapy to graduate and undergraduate students of the Reynolda Campus.
Job Description

Essential Functions:

Provide individual and group counseling/therapy to students of the University community
Provide professional consultation to all members of the University community
Provide outreach, workshops, and training on various mental health and wellbeing topics as needed
Provide on-call crisis response as needed
Keeps timely, accurate, and ethical records consistent with UCC policy
Provides consultation and supervision to interns as needed
Fulfills other duties as requested by the Director and which are consistent with the mission of the UCC
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Master’s degree in mental health profession (i.e., counseling, clinical/counseling psychology, clinical social work, marriage and family therapy) from accredited graduate program
Licensed or license eligible to practice in mental health profession in the state of North Carolina
Knowledge of and experience providing a broad range of psychotherapy and counseling methods in a brief therapy model
Knowledge of and ability to use crisis intervention skills
Ability to consult and collaborate both within and outside the University
Excellent oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to keep good client records and use Titanium scheduler/database
Ability to use independent judgment and to manage confidential information
Adherence to APA /ACA/NASW code of ethics
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Knowledge, skill, and passion to work with students from a diversity of backgrounds and traditionally underserved populations
Demonstrable expertise in counseling related to men’s issues
Experience with mental health provision in a college or university counseling center
Accountabilities:

May provide clinical consultation and supervision to graduate student trainees.
