Social Worker III-Foster Care, Children’s Services Unit

This position falls within the Children’s Services Unit with specific assignment to the foster care/placement team. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure children’s safety while in out of home placement. This function is carried out by monitoring the placement through visits with the children in the foster home, at medical appointments, schools and other venues where the children might be. The worker in this position will also provide services to the families with the goal of reunification with the family. When this is not possible permanency must be considered through other means such as adoption, guardianship, custody or another court approved arrangement.
