For those graduating with the school social work concentration, there is a unique job opening through the UNC School of Education. The UNC system is partnering with North Elementary School in Roxboro, NC to create a laboratory school called The Carolina Community Academy. The Academy is one of nine lab schools created to partner with local school districts to promote evidence-based teaching, school leadership, and student supports in high-need school settings. The Academy (through UNC) is hiring for a full-time (11-month) School Social Worker position that will start August 1, 2022. The position requires a MSW (direct practice track), the School Social Work License through NC Department of Public Instruction, and LCSW or LCSWA (supervision hours toward the LCSW will be provided). Credentials must be active prior to starting the position.
