Triangle Family Services (TFS) is a dynamic nonprofit human services agency with an 87-year history of serving families in crisis in Wake County and surrounding counties. Our life-changing programmatic work includes trauma-focused mental health services, domestic violence interventions, supervised visitation, housing stabilization services, homeless engagement, and financial counseling. (tfsnc.org) We are seeking a Maternal Mental Health Therapist expert to join the TFS team as we work to build Maternal Mental Health Services. This individual will be directly involved in the hands-on process to build and implement maternal mental health services. Serving as an advisor and expert this role will work closely with senor leadership and other key members of the team. In addition, this role will assess, treat and manage clients through-out the pre- and post-natal period based on client needs and agency protocol. This will include individual and group therapy as needed. Job Summary
We are seeking a School-Based Mental Health Therapist to provide therapeutic services within schools for which we have contracts with the local public school system. Statement of Duties
• With school support, as needed, TFS will schedule and complete intake with families.
• TFS will determine the most appropriate service and communicate with the school team as the students move through the initial intake process.
• Maintain written documentation required for compliance with services in accordance with accrediting bodies, provider contracts as well as agency standards and procedures in a timely manner using department tools to track workflow and client outcomes in compliance with funder requirements.
• Participate in agency QI program to include peer record review.
• Participate in rotation of clinicians attending community partner meetings and facilitation of parent support groups.
• Provide diagnostic and psychotherapeutic services to child, adolescent and adult clients and families, including diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, individual, family, youth, and maternal therapy, case management, and collateral contacts as appropriate.
• Maintain client caseload necessary to meet the minimum expectation of (25) clients contacts per week, which may include any combination of individual and family counseling for children, adolescents and adults; caseload may include working with child victims of sexual abuse or other trauma and their caregivers; assessment and treatment of youth who have engaged in problematic sexual behavior; mental health assessments and treatment for family safety program clients involved with the child welfare system and individuals involved with the justice system.
• Coordinate services and client care with juvenile justice system, child welfare system, courts, school system and other providers working with the client and their family.
• Facilitate referrals to other service providers as needed.
• Maintenance of licensure and requirements for renewal, including professional development and supervision as outlined by licensing board.
• Attend meetings and trainings as necessary for agency and program.
• At least once a month, mental/maternal health therapist will be On-call for one (1) week a month; 24/7 and will respond to mental health work needs regardless of the time or day of the week. A therapist will typically respond to emergency situations.
• Other duties as assigned appropriate to role.
Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge
• Master’s degree in Social Work or an allied mental health field with license to practice in North Carolina.
• Thorough knowledge of mental health/illness, diagnosis using current DSM, and individual and group modalities is required.
• Thorough knowledge of and compliance with the code of ethics of his/her professional degree, as well as the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of persons served, and an ongoing commitment to cultural humility and cultural competence.
• Experience working with one or more of the following strongly preferred: families impacted by child sexual abuse; Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT); Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT); ChildParent Psychotherapy (CPP); evaluation and treatment of youth who have engaged in problematic sexual behavior (PSB-CBT).
• Excellent writing skills.
• Ability to conduct assessments and treatment in English and Spanish preferred.

Working Hours/Conditions
Full-time 40 hours per week Monday through Friday. Must be able to sit or stand for varied periods of time throughout the workday. Some travel for off-site meetings, events or tasks may be required. Work schedule may involve occasional evening and weekend hours.
