The Chatham County Public Health Department (CCPHD) seeks a positive and self-driven Social Work Program Coordinator who utilizes highly effective communication and organizational skills in a variety of settings and to a highly diverse population. Within the department, the Clinical and Community Health Services (CCHS) division houses a range of services and has recently transitioned out of primary care services to focus on upstream, community-based, and core public health services. The purpose of the Public Health Social Work Program Coordinator position is to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable populations in the county through the development and implementation of programs and services that address the social drivers of poor health. This position may also provide Health and Behavior Intervention counseling for pregnant and postpartum women.

Minimum Qualifications
Preferred: Licensed Clinical Social Worker from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in social work or counseling, preferably with the client population; as well as a minimum of one year working in a public health setting or equivalent experience leading initiatives to address the psychosocial drivers of health. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
Will consider candidates with a Master of Social Work degree who are provisionally licensed. In-house supervision potentially available for LCSW-A’s. Will also consider candidates who possess a master’s degree in a counseling field who is licensed and has two years of social work or counseling experience in rehabilitation counseling, pastoral counseling or a related human services field providing experience in the techniques of casework, group work, or community organization; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Salary
Grade 62: $51,291 – $65,396
