LICENSED THERAPIST (MFT, LCSW, LCSWA, LCMHC, LCMHCA)

A growing agency is looking for a Licensed Therapist to join an Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) in Morganton, NC. Our ACT Teams provide high quality services to adults with severe and persistent mental illness.

Key Responsibilities:
Complete an Evaluation, Intake, and Comprehensive Assessment including: medical history, general physical condition, alcohol and drug histories and current use, educational issues, family structure and relationships, vocational history and goals, legal history and issues, psychiatric history (including, onset, course, effect of illness, treatment history, medication history risk behaviors)
Determine current mental status
Make decisions regarding further assessment and treatment
Assist consumers in formulating treatment goals and plans
Participate in an on-going comprehensive assessment
Develop, monitor and revise the Person-Centered Treatment Plans
Provide skill training, including but not being limited to skill training in: activities of daily living, finances, leisure, and social activities, coping skills (psychiatric rehabilitation)

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to coordinate with support networks, government resources, and community resources that are also working with people. The successful candidate will also be friendly and professional, with outstanding people skills.
Requirements:
Licensed as LCSW, LCSWA, LCMHC or LCMHCA
1 year of experience working with adults who have a mental illness and/or substance abuse diagnosis
