Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for Union County Division of Public Health Maternity Clinic
General Statement with Essential Functions
The Maternity Clinic Social Worker provides professional social work services to women in our maternity clinic. The work involves helping individuals and families respond to behavioral, psychosocial and cognitive issues that emerge during the pregnancy and post-partum period related to but not limited to such things as a high risk diagnosis, drug use, family conflict, poverty, legal concerns, employment, housing and unsafe living situations. The services will include providing a comprehensive clinical assessment for high risk patients, counseling and referral to community resources as indicated. Services will be provided in coordination with Maternity Staff, OB Provider and OB Care Manager and can involve participation in team conferences as indicated. Documentation will be in our CureMD EHR.
Requires a Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited university and 2 years’ experience preferably in Public Health.
Must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Fluent in English and Spanish
One day a week (preferably Thursday, but flexible), 6 hours as needed based on patient census
