POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Interim Social Worker is a temporary (June-Dec 2024), part time (30 hour), hourly,
non-exempt position that will provide counseling and case management, collect data and
support the Helping department programming.
This position reports to the Interim Director of Helping.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clinical
• Provide case management services, including information and referral to individual,
couples, and families.
• Provide therapy services to individuals, couples, and families, including group
sessions and crisis intervention as needed and as determined by Interim Director of
Helping.
• Implement the Financial Assistance Program by providing financial assistance to
families in need and maintaining the records for this program.
• Implement the Food Pantry program, including intakes and food distribution
Programmatic
• Collaborate with the Interim Helping Director on various programs including The
Memory Café, Clinical Connections, Hanukkah Sponsor a Family, Care Partner
Support program
• Assist with Holiday Gift Bag Program with the Volunteer Program Manager
• Provide support and assistance with Clinical Connections Program
• Support other large programs as assigned
Administrative
• Maintaining accurate case notes and billing information
• Maintain current social work license and keep CEU credits up to date
• Input and contribute to monthly statistic reports
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• MSW, LCSW or LCSW-A
• 3+ years of experience a social work setting
• Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Sensitivity to, respect for and knowledge of Jewish values, traditions and ethics
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• LCSW and clinical experience
• 5+ years experience of clinical work with older adults
• Experience in a Jewish communal or similar setting, or familiarity with Jewish
culture and traditions
